LOMBOK INDONESIA
An Island of Contrast, Character, and Quiet Luxury
Lombok is one of Indonesia’s most compelling destinations, offering a more refined and less crowded alternative to Bali. The island is defined by its diversity – from laid-back surf culture in the south to exclusive retreats in the north-west, and dramatic natural landscapes in the north.
Each region of Lombok presents a distinct atmosphere, appealing to different types of travellers.
Why Choose Lombok
Lombok is not defined by a single identity. Instead, it offers a spectrum of experiences. From barefoot beach living to understated luxury and mountain exploration.
For travellers seeking authenticity, space, and a more curated sense of discovery, Lombok stands out as one of Indonesia’s most versatile and rewarding destinations.
The north-west stands out as the finest area in Lombok. It combines understated luxury with natural beauty – elegant villas, quiet beaches, and scenic rice fields. The atmosphere is refined, private, and visually striking and the famous Gili Islands are just a short boat ride away.

Rinjani National Park
Gunung Rinjani National Park is located on the island of Lombok, Indonesia in the North Lombok Regency. Mount Rinjani (Gunung Rinjani), which is the third highest mountain of Indonesia (3,726 m), is located in this national park, giving this park its name.
SOUTH LOMBOK
Backpackers’ Paradise & Digital Nomad Haven
South Lombok is the island’s most vibrant and youthful area. Known for its relaxed energy, it has become a hub for surfers, backpackers, and digital nomads seeking a balance between work and lifestyle.
The coastline is lined with wide, sandy beaches and consistent surf breaks, while the inland areas host a growing number of cafés and co-working-friendly spaces. The atmosphere is informal, social, and driven by a sense of freedom.
Senggigi Area
The Former Tourist Centre
Senggigi was once the main tourist hub of Lombok. While it still offers a range of accommodations and convenient access, it no longer stands out compared to other regions on the island.
The area can serve as a practical base, particularly for short stays or transit, but it lacks the distinct appeal and atmosphere found elsewhere in Lombok.
North Lombok
Waterfalls & Rinjani National Park
North Lombok offers a completely different experience. One defined by nature, elevation, and dramatic scenery. The region is home to some of the island’s most impressive waterfalls and serves as the gateway to Mount Rinjani within Rinjani National Park.
The air is cooler, the landscapes are greener, and the pace is slower. It is an ideal setting for exploration, hiking, and immersion in Lombok’s raw natural beauty.
The Gili Islands
The Gili Islands are an archipelago of three small islands; Gili Trawangan, Gili Meno and Gili Air, just off the northwest coast of Lombok, Indonesia.
The islands are a popular destination for Western tourists looking for a remote island experience. Automobiles and motorized traffic are prohibited on the islands by local ordinance, so the preferred method of transportation is bicycle or the horse-drawn carriage called a cidomo. Diving in and around the Gilis is popular due to the abundance of fish life and attractive coral formations.
